Picture Taking with a Toddler

We attended a beautiful wedding on Saturday. It was held outdoors at a lovely vineyard and the weather was just perfect. Emily was invited but I was a little apprehensive about taking her. I kept imagining all the things that could go wrong with taking an almost 2 year old to a wedding: diaper blowout, tantrum as the bride walks down the isle...you name it.

But Emily was great! She got a little chatty during the ceremony but an applesauce squeeze pouch and a little one-on-one time with daddy took care of that. We let her run around during the reception and she loved dancing (ok, it was basically twerking) to "Cupid Shuffle".

Since we were all dressed up and usually don't get pictures of the 3 of us, I asked my mom to snap a few shots. Emily, however, was not having it and these are the best we ended up with:

They might not be professional shots but love that they perfectly capture our crazy, sweet little family. And #2 will make a great high school senior year book picture. :)
